Players alternate between nimble Asterix and powerhouse Obelix, using each hero’s strengths to clear enemies, activate mechanisms, and navigate obstacle-filled levels. Combat centres on straightforward combos, dodges, throws, and special attacks, with plentiful Roman soldiers and larger foes ensuring there is rarely a long gap between fights. Progression comes through collecting helmets, locating hidden items, and unlocking upgrades that improve attacks or open access to previously unreachable rewards.
