Jobs revolve around receiving vessels, unloading their cargo, arranging materials around the yard, and loading outbound trucks for contracted deliveries. Players operate ship-to-shore cranes, tractors, and other heavy equipment, balancing awkward loads, narrow routes, ropes, deadlines, and the limitations of each machine. Contracts provide income and create priorities, ranging from ordinary commercial work to urgent deliveries of medicine and other critical goods. Money goes back into the port through better vehicles, improved fuel and electricity systems, additional storage, repairs, and newly acquired waterfront property, steadily expanding what the operation can handle.

What separates Docked from many management sims is its emphasis on scale and direct equipment control: success depends not only on choosing the right upgrade, but on moving cargo accurately in a believable industrial space. The logistics chain matters from end to end, so a poorly arranged yard or neglected machine can interfere with the next lucrative shipment. Its rebuilding premise gives the usual business-growth loop a stronger sense of place, making every upgrade feel tied to Port Wake’s recovery rather than simple number chasing.
