Its strongest hook is the way it weaponizes familiar otome conventions: the “ideal” romance options are not reassuring prizes, but unstable people whose affection can become suffocating. Colorful character art and a school setting create a deliberately deceptive contrast with material involving unhealthy dependency and ethically disturbing behavior. Multiple routes and endings give players reasons to revisit earlier decisions, especially when clues from one storyline reframe another.
