Golf Around! trades quiet putting greens for themed obstacle courses spanning snowy paths, medieval castles, neon cyberpunk arenas, laboratories, dungeons, and more. The mood is deliberately chaotic rather than simulation-focused: a clean shot can still turn into disaster when a cannon launches the ball away or a dragon turns the route into a hazard. It works equally well as a casual solo score chase or a competitive evening with friends.

Matches support between one and twelve players online, with standard stroke-based play joined by alternative rules that change how each round unfolds. Race mode prioritizes reaching the cup quickly, while shape and hardcore variants add more unusual conditions for groups that want less predictable competition. Across the ten included courses, players tackle 180 holes built around ramps, jumps, narrow lanes, moving obstacles, and absurd interactive gimmicks, including blades capable of splitting a ball into pieces.
