Murder Miners turns a blocky sci-fi arena shooter into a frantic game of survival, construction, and infection. Its visual simplicity hides an unusually aggressive multiplayer pace: humans sprint, dash, and wall-jump through destructible maps while an expanding zombie horde tears apart every safe position they build. Matches can shift from confident gunfights to desperate last-stand horror in seconds, especially when the remaining survivor hears a crowd of player-controlled monsters closing in. Human players choose loadouts or hunt for weapons placed around the map, depending on the server rules, and a powerful three-shot pistol keeps duels fast and lethal. Movement is central to winning, with unlimited sprinting, aerial dashes, and wall-jumps allowing skilled players to escape ambushes or take unexpected angles. In the Infection mode, one player begins as a zombie and must convert the entire lobby; zombies burrow through terrain, use a tentacle grab to reach ledges or yank enemies out of position, and consume corpses to grow stronger. Humans counter by using the Minergun to carve routes, raise fortifications, and turn open terrain into improvised defensive compounds, while online matches support large groups of up to 30 players.

The fully destructible environment is Murder Miners’ defining feature, since no wall, bunker, or sniper nest remains permanent once a determined zombie starts digging. Its Minergun-based editor also makes collaborative map creation approachable, and Steam Workshop support gives players access to an extensive selection of community arenas inspired by familiar multiplayer layouts.
