Matches pit two teams of four heroes against one another, but the final result is decided by chance, making every round technically equal regardless of reflexes or mechanical mastery. Players choose from eight characters, build around a pool of more than 200 items, and unlock hundreds of skills while climbing the ladder for Q. Its central gag is also its defining design choice: victory is guaranteed to feel impartial, while the surrounding progression and buildcraft remain wildly complicated. That contradiction gives the game a distinctive identity somewhere between an auto-battler’s theorycrafting, a MOBA’s hero-and-item structure, and the offbeat incremental sensibility associated with Universal Paperclips. Vast combinations of heroes, skills, and equipment give repeat runs and fresh builds plenty of room, even when the match outcome itself refuses to respect your supposed talent.
