Rooms repeatedly gain new purpose as keys, crests, and puzzle solutions open shortcuts into previously unreachable areas, creating a compact world that feels more like a lethal escape room than a linear campaign. Enhanced lighting, sharper pre-rendered environments, widescreen support, revised sound, and 5.1 audio preserve the original’s theatrical horror while giving its decaying interiors more atmosphere.
