The standout feature is its willingness to combine a sci-fi whodunit with body-hopping robots and free-form ship tuning instead of settling into one familiar genre. Multiplayer’s S.A.V.A.G.E. mode adds races where shooting rivals is as important as crossing the finish line, supported by updated networking and dedicated servers for players who can gather a group. MercurySteam’s early creative spark is easy to spot in the exaggerated designs, irreverent dialogue, and systems that sometimes feel rough but rarely feel ordinary.
