Game Overview
A deceptively simple cooperative card puzzle turns a dozen illustrated animals into a test of intuition, lateral thinking, and how well your group reads one another. Similo: The Card Game adapts the tabletop favourite into a clean digital format built around silent visual clues rather than trivia knowledge or fast reflexes. Its Animals deck creates a friendly, colourful atmosphere, but the tension grows quickly when a harmless-looking rabbit or horse might be the one card nobody can afford to discard. Matches are short, accessible, and ideal for a relaxed session that still produces plenty of debate.
One player acts as the clue-giver and secretly knows the target hidden among twelve displayed cards. Across five rounds, they place cards from their hand as clues, using each image to communicate a similarity or contrast: perhaps the secret animal shares a habitat, mood, shape, colour, or some wildly subjective quality with the card played. The remaining players discuss the implication and eliminate an increasing number of candidates each round, starting with one and rising until the final, high-stakes cuts. Removing the secret card ends the attempt immediately, so success depends on interpreting the clue-giver’s logic without receiving any spoken explanation. Online multiplayer supports groups separated by distance, while local pass-and-play makes it easy to share a device at the table.
Naïade’s expressive artwork is the real star, giving every card enough personality to support clever associations beyond obvious animal traits. The digital version preserves the board game’s strongest feature: no two groups approach the same clues alike, making replay value come from conversation and changing perspectives rather than complex unlock systems. Additional Fables and History decks expand the pool and can be combined for more unpredictable clue combinations, although the included Animals set is sufficient to learn the format. Fans of cooperative deduction games such as Dixit, Codenames, and Mysterium should find its compact rules and imaginative communication immediately appealing, while newcomers can understand a round within minutes.

Setup Guide & Troubleshooting
How do I fix missing DLL errors for Similo: The Card Game?
After extracting Similo: The Card Game, navigate to the _Redist or _CommonRedist folder inside the game directory and install DirectX, Vcredist, and any other dependencies included.
What should I do if the downloaded file is corrupted?
The full archive is 177.36 MB — make sure your download completed fully before extracting. Use 7-Zip to extract the files. If you still see a "file corrupted" error, re-download and try again.
Do I need to run the game as administrator?
Usually, no. Start the game normally from the extracted folder. If you see a permissions or save error, check that the folder is writable and follow the game's documented fix. Only grant administrator access when a trusted game's specific setup requires it.
How do I update my GPU drivers for this game?
The game won't launch — what should I try?
Check that extraction completed and your PC meets the system requirements. Note any error message before choosing a fix. If it identifies a missing runtime, install the required DirectX components or Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from Microsoft.
My antivirus is blocking the game — is it safe?
A warning needs to be investigated; the download source alone cannot confirm that a file is safe. Keep your security software enabled and review the detection details. Do not run or restore a flagged file unless you have verified that it is a false positive. If you are unsure, leave it quarantined.
